Keyshawn Davis Sets Sights on 2024 Triumphs, Eyes Clash with Lomachenko | Bloody Media Boxing News

Keyshawn Davis has been sprinting, not strolling, through his career. Unlike the typical slow burn of a prospect's journey, Davis has swiftly moved through the ranks and is now gearing up for a significant challenge in 2024 – a face-off with former world champion Jose Pedraza.

Despite a decade separating them in age, Davis isn't fazed by Pedraza's veteran status. Recent performances by Pedraza against Jose Ramirez, Richard Commey, and Arnold Barboza have left him winless, a streak Davis aims to extend to four in their upcoming bout.

Looking beyond Pedraza, Davis has grand plans for the rest of 2024. While a victory over Pedraza would mark a pivotal moment in his career, Davis envisions much larger conquests on the horizon.

“I would love to fight (Vasiliy) Lomachenko,” Davis expressed in an interview with BoxingScene.com.

Although Lomachenko's next opponent remains unconfirmed, with a bout against George Kambosos Jr. for the vacant IBF lightweight strap in the works, Davis is already sizing up the competition. While eagerly anticipating their showdown, he doesn't give Kambosos much of a chance. If Lomachenko secures the victory, Davis sees a potential opportunity to challenge the Ukrainian maestro.

At just 24 years old, Davis is confident in his ability to face Lomachenko and believes he can notch a victory over him before the year concludes.

“I would love to fight Lomachenko by the end of this year,” Davis affirmed, setting the stage for what could be a defining moment in his burgeoning career. As he navigates the intricate landscape of the lightweight division, Davis aims for not just success but a chance to make a lasting statement against one of the sport's modern legends.
